We need to know more information before anyone can give you an accurrate answer. Is this a BBb or CC tuba? Rotary or piston valves? Unless things have changed, Schmidt is a name that VMI was using as a stencil for their horns. There's nothing wrong with a VMI horn, but it may not fight what you're looking for. Your best bet is to try the horn out and go from there.
