There IS more confusion (and different usage) surrounding these terms than Joe S.'s answer suggests.

Eb and EEb are also commonly used to denote not fundamental length, but . I was educated to the effect that an Eb (also sometimes called a "single Eb" was a smaller bore instrument, but the same fundamental length as an EEb... the latter having a larger bore, & usu. 4 valves.

However, there is also the "notation" thingie, (I just don't know what it is called!!) but essentially it names every pitch used in music, starting (lowest) with double upper-case* letters (or maybe even triple upper-case, progressing to single upper-case letters, then to lower-case letters, then lower-case letters with a little ' after them (apostrophe).

Under that system BBb and CC would be thus, and Eb and F would be thus.

Bottom line, don't worry about it, possibly use the terms interchamgeabley, and if you are not, explain what you are or are not meaning (re: pitch, bore, whatever).

P.S. The archives has many, many threads on this topic... but I can't think what would be the best key words to use to search.

* Upper-case (capital) letters: A B C

* Lower-case (small) letters: a b c

...just in case my terminology has been unfamiliar to anybody.
