As a mere aquaintance of Mark's, I don't pretend to speak for him; however, I'm not sure it's really reasonable to ask him for such information, considering that he has publicly stated his intention of making these valve caps as a 'for profit' venture. As there is presently, as far as I know, no patent granted, there can be nothing wrong with you doing your own research and making your own valve caps, but I think asking Mark to provide you with technical data is asking a bit much.
