I've owned 3 rotary valve tubas and have never had any major problems with any of them. Recently however, my first valve has been "clicking", and I'm not sure why. If I press it lightly, it doesn't click, but in normal playing, it clicks about 50% of the time when I use it. The second valve has done the same thing before, but not regularly. The noise is coming from inside the rotor itself, but I'm not sure what is causing it. Anyone have any ideas? and suggestions/instructions on how to stop it? Thanks in advance.
