Yes, this again. Amidst all the glowing fervor about the wonderful
and much-anticipated marching season, why aren't all the full-time tuba players
crowing it up about the grand benefits of schlepping a sousie around on the field?
I guess I've lead a VERY sheltered life, in that I have never....
NEVER known of one single tenured professional tubist who EVER pushed their students towards field work in the fall.
Why bother trying to dissuade some faceless, young
internet readers from risking latent injury to their lower back?
Because if it happens it damn well hurts! Gradually, increasingly,
and it can plague you for decades, like the rest ofyour life!
No practice room I know of poses that kind of risk.
