Mirafone Eb vs Besson Eb

In two brass quintets I play with, I use a Mirafone 184 BBb for most work and a and a Besson 981 EEb for the high parts. Both groups prefer the sound of the Mirafone for all-around work; they feel the Besson is not as sonorous as the Mirafone which is a much "brighter" instrument, in sound. I know Mirafone has made an Eb tuba
with rotary valves which is about the same size as my 184. Question:
would a Mirafone Eb more closely match the sound of the Mirafone BBb?
This would satisfy the demands of the groups for sonority and allow me to play the upper register on an Eb rather than chance it on a BBb? Any thoughts? Any comments on the Mirafone Eb in general? Any suggestions for another Eb which may match sounds with the Mirafone BBb? Thanks!
