Chuck didn't mention that Besson did produce (at some point a long time ago) a four-valve compensator with front-action valves. He has one, but it is no comparison to the Willson 2975. I've played both, and if I had unlimited budget for a euphonium, that Willson would be the horn I would seek. But there were not many made, apparently. I liked it much more than my old Reynolds top-action uncompensated euphonium, which is smaller and more like the front-action American horns that you'll find.
