I realize it's nearly impossible to keep up with which company owns a record label on any given day. However, it has been my experience that certain record labels, on the whole, seem to produce better classical CDs than others.
When I'm shopping for a recording, I'll look at the orchestra and conductor first, but the label may very well figure into my final decision. So, here are my questions for you:
What are you favorite labels?
What are the labels you tend to shy away from?
