FWIW, the Bessons, while copies, are not in the same league as the Nirschl, and I didn't particularly care for the Nirschl to begin with.

I would assume the market will bear more for the Nirschl. "Pfft" is right, call someone who has a clue. Some of these guys may have actually had inquiries about a horn like this and know what the buyer is willing to pay.

When I played a Besson CC there were two in the store at the same time. They had been there like two days. One was already sold and I'm sure the other was sold within a few days. Both of 'em had intonation that made on old Alexander look pristine. Not to mention some goofy ergonomics of the fifth valve layout. The sound was OK, but was outclassed by many other horns in the store. I'm still scratchin my head as to why people are battling it out over those horns like the first batch of cabbage patch kids...
