Sorry, I'm kind of new to this business of buying a tuba, but can somebody fill me in on the significance of the bore size of a tuba? I gather that it's a measure of the size of the pipe leading into the valves, right? Is a bigger number better? For example, does a horn with a larger bore produce a bigger, more powerful sound?
