I have been doing alot of anlysis of my embouchure lately and have discovered that the way I set my embouchure and buzz without the MP is nothing like the way I buzz with the MP and with it in the horn. It is "normal"(I'm sure you'll ask me to define normal) looking without the MP, air stream downward. When I buzz the MP my lower lip sticks out when I enter the higher register and the airstream goes up, however, the sound I get is just like anybody else.
My question is simply this: is an upward airstream going to hurt my playing now or down the road?
Anyone?
