I REMEMBER KING AT ONE TIME MADE A JUMBO VERSION OF THE CLASSIC .687 FRONT ACTION . I never played on one that worked. I would like to see them use the old style canted valve section that was on the old U.S.N. tubas and was also used for many years on the King sousaphones. King is on the right track with the "new " tuba models I would love to play one with a proper gauge brass on the bell. Not being a great fan of the 20j horns ,I would hate to see a short action set up on these horns.allthough it would be nice if they could make valves that fell like those short action sets. Those valves were works of art . The way things are today we will never see instruments built with that kind of detail or quality.
