First of all, a disclaimer. This message is self-serving. But here's a thought...

I have a Boehm & Meinl Marzan CC up for sale. 5 pistons, 1 rotor. It's basically the same bell, large branches, valves (and possibly leadpipe) as your YM. As a CC, it has a great sound, but requires a fair amount of main slide jockeying to play in tune. If I extend the main slide, it plays MUCH better in BBb. Both Bob Rusk and I think that this was a CC built on a BBb chassis.

You could modify the last loop of tubing before the valves to bring the horn down to BBb and you'd probably have what you want. Walter Nirschl claims to still have the tooling for the old Marzan instruments, so he might even be able to supply a part.

This is just an idea, nothing more, submitted for your consideration.
