York replacement

I recently lost my much cherished York Master BB given to me by my father (in a fire). I have played it (except for a old BB of unknown manufactuer in Jr High) all of my life. I am now in my mid 40's. Except for minor revisions/repairs to the valves and receiver it was the same as the day it left the factory. I seldom play as a professional but play almost every day. 90% of the time I perform in a klezmer band.

Now the question:

I am looking for a replacement with at least similar tone, volume and response. Having been happy and out of the tuba buying market I am frankly overwhelmed by all of the choices. I know I am probably asking for trouble but does any one have any suggestions for me?

Kurt
