The value of this horn comes down to what are the alternatives and what would they cost. What other front action piston valve BBb BATs are available new today? The only one's that I can think of are the Willson 3100 and the Gronitz PBK, although both are smaller than this Holton. I think that they would cost between $7,000 and $8000. Another alternative would be the Miraphone 1291, which isn't a BAT but can provide the same, or more, versatility for a BBb player. I believe that the 5 valve version of those go for a little over $5,000. Given that, I would think that spending around $5,000 on this Holton is reasonable, assuming that it is in good playing condition and only needs minor work.
