In order for Band music to survive, it must grow. Musician must continue to please the current audience, who may consider it in the nostalgia catagory similar to mens barbershop quartets. At the same time, musicians must attract new listeners with an outgrowth of the music, similar to contempory a cappella vocal music (Take 6). At the same, wind musicians must continue to expand the use of acoustic instruments in other forms of music.
Human beings continue to improve technology in order to emulate acoustic instruments. The MUSICIANSHIP of the human being, whether on a computer or a tuba, continues to be paramount.
