Believe it or not, I have a great 5-valve Alexander F tuba for sale. This tuba was built c.1969. I bought it a few years ago from Mark "Mickey" Moore, professor of tuba at the University of Illinois. Good intonation throughout, incredible shape, free-blowing low register (best low C I've ever played on an Alex F), absolutely BEAUTIFUL upper register (play a cello suite on this baby!), recently chemically clensed and had an attatchment put on first valve slide to allow for easy access. These are commonly referred to as the "stradivarius" of F tubas. If that incredible German sound is what you love, this is a horn you definitely want to check out...other Alexander players such as myself (I play an Alex CC, too) can vouche for this. I wish I had the financial means to keep this baby, but unfortunately that is not the case. Please, serious inquiries only! E-mail me for more details.
