Our former Captain gave us a speach very similiar to this when he first got to the band. It did not go over too well, and I believe he changed his view somewhat after spending 4 years here.

BTW, I respect our former Captain and hope he has an opportunity to come back to the band in the future in some capacity. He did an excellent job with what was availed to him.

Your statement could be used at any level. Everything is relative. Someone selling shoes could be told. COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS, YOU COULD BE IN A CHINESE PRISON MAKING CATHY LEE CLOTHING.

The novelty of finally getting a job wears off after a couple of years and one begins to yearn for musical challenge again. Some groups in town have more musical challenge and musical excellence than others. No group, though, will ever come close to the artistic ideal that is established in the mind of an aspiring student.
