I'll put my vote in for the Willson Eb. It is a large bore tuba, so it has the capacity for a CC like sound. It has all the valves on one hand (4 Pistons + 1 Rotor) so you don't have to learn to use 2 different hands for technical passages. Mine has excellent intonation and is well constructed. The orchestra I play in just did a run of concerts that included the Berlioz "Overture to the Corsairs" and the Franck D Minor Symphony. I used the Willson on both and I've never felt more comfortable on either of those pieces. We're also doing opera and I've found that the Willson is great in the pit, not too much and not too little. The only downside is the cost as they are pretty expensive...
