About 10 years ago, I was playing in a community band, on my Yamaha BB201. A member of the band found a Miraphone 186 in a hock shop in Tennessee and bought it for me (I didn't know about it) for $1,000.00. I said I would pay him the $1,000.00 as soon as possible. After about 3 months, I realized that I could not pay for it and so, I took it to Brook Mays in Houston. The low brass man there gave me $1100.00 on the spot and resold it for $3000.00! In hindsight, I should have pawned my Mother for that horn, as it was a good sounding horn, in very good shape. Is anyone else out there as stupid as I am?
