I am curious about the problems/symptoms/issues with focal dystonia.
As of late, I have had severe problems with essentially F below the staff and notes below. I am not an avid professional, simply a recreational player. I have tried to practice to "keep up my chops", but even if the notes tend to solidify, the next day can start all over again.
When trying to focus on these notes, there is a definite "quiver" in my embouchure. The corners really don't want to set still.
I still have no idea of what the critical issue is here. All I know is that a register that I once had tremendous control and power over has slowly disappeared over the course of the last year and a half.
I have not "self-diagnosed" myself with anything yet, however, I would like to have some questions answered. If anyone has any helpful information, please feel free to send an email to me or address this post directly. Names of people doing research or a good website to find a medical person would be excellent.
