After reading the thread below about dropping octaves, it reminded me of something. For our spring concert, my school band is playing O Fortuna from Carina Burana as a finale (with the advanced choir). My question is about the pedal C's and D's toward the end. How can I make them sound at the forte-fortissimo they are supposed to be without my air dying instantly? I'd really like to be able to play them (and yes, they are written in the part), but can't seem to make them sing. Any ideas???
