The Martin you speak of belongs to Jim Brennan in the San Francisco area. I think he still owns it. He tried selling it on eBay but the reserve was never met. The bell on it is so big that you can rest the horn on the face of the bell and the horn does not tip over. The horn at one time crossed by the hands of Dave Franke. He found it in an antique store about 20 miles from here and bought it fairly cheap. I suspect that the bell was original to the horn. I've never seen one, but I've been told that the Jumbo Martin sousaphones had bells that were 33".
