Over the past 30 some odd years I have sat doing nothing while the orchestra played Glinka's Russlan and Ludmilla. Last night at a rehearsal they passed it out and guess what, there was an optional tuba part! I really doubt Glinka came out of the grave to write it but where did it come from? This is a stock rental from Luck's Misic Library with no arranger's name. Any ideas to solve this mystery short of emailing Glinka?
