Perhaps I misunderstand?
Yeah, I agree when we're talking like-for-like (unless perhaps the instrument has a very long waiting list or some other factor), but the pre-Besson Nirschls were MUCH more costly than the 'new' Besson version. The Bessons are also mass-produced horns (relatively) whereas the 'older' Nirschls probably were made to better quality of fit and finish and therefore could be described as better quality horns, thus deserving a higher price-tag?
I suspect we probably agree in fact...
