Having a badly beaten, but quite well playing, York Master myself I am a bit curious:

Am I guessing right whne assuming that the long Grand Rapids bell was not chopped as much for shortening as for matching the diameters of low bell end with the diameter of the bottom bow?

Will you add a 5th valve? Before or after the piston set?

Has your instrument the large open 4th valve wrap sitting on the back side? (Mine is curled inside bows, with a tuning slide at the front under trhe leadpipe).
