Brook Mays has not had enough people come by ever to try all the tubas they got in and I will bet you that most are still in the original boxes never having been opened. First hand information here.
Brook Mays tubas are not that accessible to the public and only 1 or 2 have been to a store. Only the 101s went to a few stores to send out with the road reps.
Dale has never been to Brook Mays, never worked there and has no idea what has gone on with these tubas first hand.
I'm not sticking up for BM, I just know how many they had, how they were stored, where they were stored and they got to other stores.
Call and check and you will see it is not that easy to try to play test a few tubas. They do not have anyone there to do it and all they will do is ship them out.
