I've marched a suzie in marching band for four years, and i've been luggin around 4/4 concert tubas on my shoulder for the past four years, and i've also been carrying a 15-20 pound back pack on my shoulders for a couple of years. And when i woke up this morning, the left side of my neck (sousaphone area), was hurting really bad. It still hurts, and i'm having difficulty turning my head either direction, but i can freely move my arms. One of my friends said it was either a pinched nerve, or a muscle cramp. I've taken some alieve but it hasn't seemed to "alieve" the pain. (go figure). Do you guys know of anything that can help me out by tonite (i have a collegiate theatre production, where i play a tuba solo, and do some african dancing/singing) And will this problem be re-occuring because of my tuba usage. Hopefully it wouldn't keep me from Marching in Indiana University's Marching Hundred .... would it? Please help me out
