Maybe, but the more I hear cellists, the more I think they are overrated. I always hear people give them as much praise as concert violinists, but I don't see it. I always hear people say "The cello has a beautiful sound or a rich sound). But I don't really hear it. To me, the cello has a harsh stringy sound and is strained sounding in the upper register. I also hear most cellists use too heavy a vibrato and play with really funky intonation. I think a good tubist is the example to follow.
