Ok, so I've got my beginner/early stage students covered, literature-wise. The high schoolers aren't too hard to program for either. It's these durn 8th/9th graders that present a problem for me. What books do other teachers at this level use? This would be for kids with 3-4 years on the instrument, can count competently and have command of most keys but might not have the range or maturity to get into the big stuff without getting discouraged.
All suggestions are welcome, I want to get an idea of the current trends.
