There is a tool available - ' costs repair shops a few hundred bucks, which has several cone-shaped fittings mounted on the ends of steel shafts. The various fittings have different interior cylindrical sizes, and the conical area (with cylindrical interior cut-outs) are slotted to allow for shrinkage under pressure. Once the proper fitting is matched to a worn rotor casing's exterior bearing dimension, another heavy steel tubular overpart is placed over the fitting and - using the threading on the back of the fitting - the fitting is tightened over the female bearing ends of the rotor casings, shrinking the interior so that the rotor shafts' sideways play (due to wear) is eliminated. Since the tool can't do this in a way to make the shaft receivers perfectly round, the rotors are then "spin fit" with a gentle abrasive utilizing a collar and shaft that is similar to the regular rotor collar.

One can really improve the rotor stability with this tool...or ruin it. (It is an excellent tool in experienced hands.)
