that may be so, though these kinds of tubas generally bark at you when you start pushing air into them. the nice thing about "push buttons and blow" tubas is that you can bump as much thick air current into them as you want, and they'll get nice and load without going edgy on you. like that beutiful york + hirsbrunner Nirschill hybrid instrument a couple of lines below this comment. man that thing looks nice.
