You know, one of those where you couldn't really speak to anybody afterwards, or beforehand for that matter... maybe even being so focused all day long that you just didn't feel like messing around, and you knew -- you KNEW -- that your performance-to-come would be able to handle everything you could give, and you KNEW that you could give it all, and you KNEW how to make it happen... and when the time came it DID happen even better than you had envisioned... maybe your mind was completely blank and you were on an unerring autopilot, maybe you were completely aware and in control of every movement you were making, maybe your mind was filled with images of your father or a lost love, but when you finished.... you were in tears, or couldn't look anybody in the eye, or felt like you had to run around the block, or maybe you didn't even want to put your horn away for the night...
