Mike - no offense to meant you personally, but are there any minumum grammar and spelling requirements in place for incoming freshmen at SMU (which I always thought of as a highly-regarded major university academically)?
Sorry to use you personally, Mike, to bring up a topic of discussion, but you've got to know the difference between the verb "accept" and the preposition/conjuction "except" and use them properly in a sentence, man. I'm really not trying to be harsh, but in this "politically correct" world we live in it seems like no one is being honest with issues like this.
Please forgive this message if you were in a hurry to post, or a poor typist, or whatever. But I can tell you that SMU is no blow-off school - the academics are tough, and you're going to have a hard time if your English skills are really that bad.
