Switch to Eb, or keep fighting with F

I'm a sophomore tuba major in College, and have been playing F tuba since Feburary. I'm not very happy with the sound I get on the F tuba. The low range is not so good, and the upper range sounds like a big euphonium. I've recently been thinking about switching to Eb. My teacher plays Eb and likes Eb much better than F. I think that i like the Eb sound better myself. What are your ideas on switching or sticking it out. If i decide to switch I've got a Meinl Weston 6v F that will be availble for sale or trade.
