So my usual youth orchestra conductor was out on wednesday and a conductor who I have never had before led our rehersal. He started to complaign to the whole low brass section that we were all behind. He said "it's ok...It's the nature of your instrument to be behind." My question is, is it the nature of the instrument to be behind?? or is it the fact that we are not right up front? Scientific explanation would be appreciated as well!!! ~I am very curious to the true answer.
