I disagree with some people here...SF is one of the great standards that actually has 2 tuba parts. It should be 2 tubas...whats next people a euph for Bydlo??? Don't let people tell you that you will come across this peice again because you might not. Where are you supposed to play after college? Hopefully you will find an orchestra but the reality most people do not. I am a local guy with very stiff competition. All the local symphonies already have their tuba tenured, so that leaves me to sub if the people ever decide to not play a great piece like SF. I am not saying you should whine or complain but I feel you have an honest gripe. The euphonium has the band literature, let it stay there. SF should be 2 tubas.
